The following is a significant report based on data
collected for five years (1887-1891) on Japan
porcelain, pottery, earthenware, cloisonne, and glass
ware manufacturers, dealers, artists, and potteries
published in 1893
in the General View
of Commerce and Industry in the Empire of Japan.
This report provides the Commercial Name, Principal
Name or Owner of the Business, Business Address,
Dealing Articles and Manufacturing Articles.
The report splits the pages but I have comprised two
pages on one page for easier reading and looking at
information. If you are interested in other
types of wares, this is the book to read - it
contains other sections on different types of
materials, products and goods, such as,
tortoiseshell, bronze, etc. I will be creating tables with data gleaned from report. |

I will be extracting and compacting information since I am only interested in porcelain, pottery, earthenware and cloisonne wares - the process will be tedious and time consuming and therefore I have linked the whole report in pdf under References below. |
