Origin: Kutani, Japan.

Marked: Some with signature kanji characters, "KU-TANI". Note: a cat of this form was found with impressed seal script, Banzan.  All cats unmarked Banzan are attributed to the artist-kiln.  All cats unmarked Kutani are attributed to Kutani kiln. All these cats are the same form and hand painted in the same style and therefore attributed to the Kutani artist-kiln Banzan.
